Jones Nomad climbing skins offer the perfect balance of glide and grip. The mohair fibres deliver unmatched glide in any snow condition because they remain soft and flexible at any temperature. The nylon fibres provide extra traction when the skin track gets steep or icy. The EVER DRY 3.0 coating keeps the skins dry even in wet conditions.

The Quick Tension Tail Clip is a lightweight tail clip system designed to fit Jones Splitboards of 2016 and newer. Jones Splitboards have a notch cut into the tail of both board halves that allows the Quick Tension Tail Clip to simply slide into the notch and secure the skin.

Hi, my name is Roos. I have been snowboarding since 2000 and have been working as a snowboard teacher since 2006. I chose these skins since they are an obvious choice when you buy a Jones splitboard. I bought them in size A, which is the right size for my board.

The skins fit the board perfectly. They are really quick to attach to the board. It was a bit harder though to take them off again. You have to pull the rubber band quite hard to unhook the attachment completely without scratching the board. The skins had a lot of grip, even on the bit steeper parts. I have not yet tested them on really steep parts yet. When it was completely flat it was easy to glide forward. The skins are a bit pricey, however, until now, the quality and performance seem to be really good.

If you buy these skins, then please check that you have the right size for your board. The skins with the quick tension tail clips are pre-cut for specific Jones snowboards. The skins with the universal tail clips are for split boards from different brands and still have to be cut to fit your board.

As I already had a Jones Splitboard I was in need of new skins as mine were a couple of years old. I was looking for skins that are quick to apply and to remove and have the needed grip on the snow. As I do a lot of splitboard tours in the season I have to be able to rely on my gear. I just checked which size fits my splitboard and chose type A.

I did 5 tours with the skins in different conditions, on icy glaciers, on slushy warm snow and on hard packed trails. They held up everywhere without problems, I noticed that Jones really developed the skins well. I like the fact that they clip on to a Jones Splitboard really fast, so you can start your tour as soon as possible. The included net makes sure you can pack up the skins on top of the mountain without the hassle of using foil. They also include a practical bag to store the skins, so you can pack them up and put them into your backpack.

All-in-all a very practical thing to have with you while splitboarding. You can notice that it was made specifically for a Jones splitboard, which makes the whole experience even better. I would recommend this product to every splitboarder out there, it will not let you down.
