The Stratos Ltd is a new splitboard in the Jones line. An experiment that cannot be pigeonholed. A hybrid all-mountain board with the soul of a directional freeride board and the heart of a freestyle board. The Stratos is playful, offers good floatation, lets you carve elbow-deep and never loses control in difficult terrain.

Shape
The Tapered Directional Shape is versatile in the resort and shows its strength in the backcountry. The pop is concentrated in the tail and provides ample float and control in all terrain and snow conditions. Taper means a narrower tail than nose, which provides more float in deep snow because the tail sinks in more easily and thus lifts the nose out. In addition, the blunt nose ensures that less snow is carried backwards over the sides of the nose. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Traction Tech 3.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions.

Profile
The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the bindings and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability. The freeride-focused 3D Base Contour 3.0 comes with a balanced 7 mm upturn in nose and tail. The bending up of the base starts at the rocker.

Flex
The medium flex combines response and playfulness.

Construction
The Stratos is based on the FSC™ Ultra Core, the ultra-light Paulownia core with specially positioned poplar stringers. The Power Basalt stringers are made from 100 % natural fibres and improve power transmission to the edges, torsional response and provide a smoother run. Bio Resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy. For the outer edges, Jones uses proven oversized, recycled and extremely durable steel edges. Jones also uses recycled Rounded ABS, which extends the life of the topsheet. The ECO-plastic textured topsheet made from environmentally friendly castor seeds is lightweight and durable. The construction is rounded off by the Sintered 9900 Base. The lightweight base is easy and quick to repair thanks to the UHMW-PE.
 
Karakoram clips
The Solution Split comes with Karakoram UltraClips 2.0 and Tip Locks. The adjustable tension of the Ultra Clips brings the two halves of your splitboard together unsurpassed. Stainless steel reinforcements are embedded in the nose and tail for increased tip resistance.
