Hell yeah, I've been riding the basic Cartel for years now and I'm still loving it especially for freeriding but also for riding kickers. And now my favourite binding received a high-end performance upgrade. For my boots size EU 42.5 the binding size M is perfect.
More precision, more power, more fun in snowboarding! Everything in this binding just works so fine. The footbed is perfectly dampened, the straps feel super comfortable, are easy to adjust and the buckles never let you down. For my personal riding, the highback has the most perfect blend of really tons of stiffness with just the right amount of flexibility. In powder I have a strong and responsive binding that won't make my feet get tired after a couple of runs and that reacts on every single move I make. When approaching a kicker or landing a jump, it provides perfect control, hold and support. A little downside is the forward lean adjustment, which is still a bit clumsy, especially when wearing mittens.
The Cartel X is lighter and stronger than the Cartel, and I would definitely recommend it to experienced riders who know what they are doing. This binding is a super responsive high-performance machine which should of course be used with stiffer boots and boards.
