The Pyre ensures fun in powder and carving groomers. Niche Snowboards, who is that? Some of you might ask themselves. The small board factory from the US makes high-quality boards, as environmentally friendly as possible. The Pyre is one of the Recylamine® boards - it can be completely recycled and is, therefore, one of the few zero-waste boards.
The Pyre is the board for carving groomers and surfing deep pow lines in any terrain.
The directional shape provides you with some extra float in the powder and excellent switch riding capabilities. Due to the setback of the bindings towards the tail, the nose gets a little bit longer. However, the nose and the tail are equally wide, so landing switch is no problem. 2 Traction Bumps add edge contact points to give your board more edge control and stability, especially in icy conditions.
The Pyre features a Back-Seat Camber, Rockered Nose profile. A rocker in the nose blending to traditional camber by the back foot designed to float effortlessly through powder, roll through choppy areas, enter and exit turns with ease and lock-in on groomers.
The medium-stiff flex provides you with a lively board that allows you to stay in control at all speeds and pop over everything
The forests that Niches wood cores come from are managed carefully to meet the social, economic, ecological, cultural and spiritual needs of current and future generations. The wood cores also come from a sustainable source, which means they are replaced by new trees! Niche also utilizes basalt stringers for added pop, stability, and crazy vibration dampening properties. Niche uses recycled materials for edges, base and sidewalls. Traditional resins can be extremely toxic to people and the environment. For Niche snowboards, they partnered with Entropy Resins to create the one-of-a-kind, Snappy Sap™ Bio-Resin. As opposed to traditional epoxies made primarily of petroleum-based materials, Snappy Sap™ Bio-Resin is composed of bio-renewable materials from the industrial waste streams of the paper pulp and bio-fuels industry. They digitally print their topsheets using water-based inks that use up to 90% fewer solvents than traditional inks and don’t use any lacquer, giving the boards a beautiful matte finish. Niche uses non-toxic, solvent-free, UV-based inks for printing graphics on all snowboard production.
Products using the revolutionary Recyclamine® resin system are able to be fully recycled at the end of their life span and all associated manufacturing waste will be reclaimed and upcycled into new products!
