The Vans Hi-Standard OG is Vans' best-selling boot. It combines the classic style of the legendary Vans sneakers with high functionality for long days on the mountain. The V1 Waffle Lug outsole offers the best grip on any terrain, while UltraCush™ and V1 Popcush deliver buttery smooth landings and less vibration. A simple and effective classical lacing completes this boot.

Outer Boot
The Instep Lace Lockout combined with the V1 Harness provides the necessary flex and a bulletproof heel fit, while the Pleasurecuff™ wraps around your calf for a snug fit. The V1 Waffle Lug outsole is designed for aggressive all-mountain and street performance and provides great traction on any terrain.

Liner
The dual-density, heat-moldable V1 Ultracush Liner is amazingly simple, delivering comfort and essential support in a streamlined design. It is Vans’ most flexible liner, built to be functional and forgiving for riders of all levels. This is my first pair of VANS boots. I personally prefer classic lacing system. It is also crucial for me that the boot is not too hard, as I ride a rather loose style, mostly park and jibbing. I was in between 42,5 and 43 EU size and went for 43 in the end. The fit is really perfect!

I rode the boots under any conditions. I expected them to be too soft, however they are just perfect in between soft and stiff. The instep lace lockout (lacing of the inner boot) gives a really good hold yet being super comfy. The flex is just perfect and let's you enough room for jibbing. I wouldn't really recommend the boot to any rider looking for a harder, stiffer flex. The damping is super nice even on harder landings. I also really liked the traction of the sole.

This boot is the perfect choice for any beginner and advanced rider looking for medium flex. It feels super comfy and light.

I was looking for a laced snowboard boot, mainly because of its simplicity and reliability - no more sophisticated speed-lacing systems that have failed me twice before. The simple and beautiful design of the Vans boot caught my attention, and after trying size 46 (I have sneaker size 45), they seemed to fit my feet very nicely.

I took these boots for a week of snowboarding in the Alps, and I fell in love with them. Although the Vans High Standards are officially recommended for the riding style "Freestyle", I've used them in various conditions: carving, freestyle and off-piste freeriding. The boots are very flexible, which means they won't offer a ton of support while carving at high speeds. However, in my opinion they gave me just enough support, because I have a casual & relaxed riding style. They are very forgiving; I've had zero instances of cramps or annoying pressure points.

In conclusion, these are very comfortable boots for a reasonable price. I would especially recommend these for beginner and intermediate riders who just want a reliable pair of boots to ride down the mountains comfortably. And, last but not least: they look very cool :)

Das ist bis jetzt mein absoluter Lieblingsboot! Er ist so bequem wie meine Hausschlappen und trotzdem kann ich mit ihm alles fahren egal ob ich viel im Park bin oder auch mal powdern gehe oder mit meinem Korua flitzen ;-) Ich mag das einfache Schnürsystem; der Schuh sitzt da eng wo ich es haben möchte. Und ich liebe das klassische Design, dass er ausschaut wie mein Straßenschuh. Er wird relativ schnell weicher hab ich das Gefühl, aber auch nur wenn man jeden Tag aufm Berg ist. Preis-Leistung stimmt auf jeden Fall!

Seit über 2 Jahren snowboarde ich und verbringe gut 70 - 100 Tage in der Saison auf dem Berg. Dann bin ich da wos grad Spaß macht, meistens im Park. Snowboarden ist für mich Leidenschaft & Spaß. Größe: 166cm, Gewicht: <50kg, Local Area: Innsbruck und Umgebung.
