The Women’s Surge features all the powerful features as the standard Surge - solid baseplate, stiff highback, supportive ankle strap - but sized specifically for women’s boots. The Surge is built for big days on big lines. Solid baseplate design, stiffer Rip ‘N’ Flip highbacks, more supportive ankle straps combine to give riders greater control in demanding terrain. New for this season, the Surge will also feature Pillow Line straps: lightweight, waterproof, ultradurable, comfortable, one-piece moulded construction. Only a set of pucks (Spark pucks, Spark canted pucks or Voile pucks) is needed and you're ready to go.
Tesla T1 Splitboard technology
The T1 system only has one climbing wire to save weight and time. This wire is built into the baseplate and switches from stowed to low (12 degrees) and high (18 degrees) climbing positions easily. The T1 heel rest holds the T1 heel locker in place and catches the climbing wire in 12 and 18-degree positions. Snap ramps and side-lock touring brackets let you slide the T1 bindings sideways into the offset touring bracket and lock them into place with a snap ramp, no pins, no cables, no fiddling.
The flexible Rip'n'Flip highback is built to fit all popular splitboard boots just right and features 0° to 22° forward lean in riding mode and -13° in touring position.
CNC machined baseplates with maximum cutouts shave weight, yet maintain strength and performance.
The Pillow Line Straps are thin and flexible for a comfortable, conforming fit, while thicker ribs are held off the boot and provide stiffness for a uniquely responsive ride. The ankle straps have a wide, asymmetrical footprint around the boot for incredible all-around support.
The Spark came when founder Will took his first trip into the backcountry. What started as an quirky idea, has in ten years turned into a successful company that created the first ever splitboard specific binding. Everything from design to packaging is done in-house and thanks to the factory location all products and prototypes can be tested fresh out of the oven. A dream come true for the Spark team.
