Designed for ladies who see the mountain as their playground no matter the conditions, the Winterland handles all zones inside and outside your resort. Armed with features, for riders who care deeply about how their board turns through all types of snow. Free-The-Ride Camber and TurboRods tech team up to create a board that rails turns on packed snow when your mountain hits a dry spell and floats smoothly through a fresh blanket when Mother Nature brings a big storm.
This Snowboard wants to ride powder or carving. The Shape and Profile of the Board make it perfect for fast runs on hardpack and powder.
Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Free-the-Ride Camber begins with positive camber in the board’s tail, transitioning into a flat camber section beneath the rider’s front foot and ending in a rockered nose for maximum float. The end product of this blend is an ultra-agile turning machine with a buoyant nose for powder and an appetite for groomers and choppy conditions. The rockered nose lets you float and rip through the deeper snow while the flat camber under your front foot blends in a reassuring amount of stability and response. The positive cambered tail rounds it all out by providing the snap and slash power that all-mountain riding needs.
TurboRods are the next generation of the HotRods Technology and brings a new approach to loading ollies and building pop. Rome starts by milling channels into the board’s core, then they insert carbon rods that rest freely inside sleeves with a single point of attachment. The rod is anchored only towards the centre area of the board, leaving the outside tip of the rod to flex freely inside the sleeve. This means the TurboRods engage the tip and tail of the board to load maximum spring, creating a more active flex pattern and effectively self-dampening after pop occurs.
The Carbon Single Barrel is a single rod of dynamically-flexing carbon in the centerline for longitudinal pop without unwanted torsional stiffness. The SuperPop Core Matrix increases pop and snap with the use of long poplar wood sections combined with three separate zones of low-density wood for adding lightness. At the 90/90 Carbon Hybrid Laminate, Rome integrates thin bundles of carbon into a biaxial glass on top and biaxial layer on the bottom. The workhorse of base materials, the strong and absorbent SinterTrue Base is the first level of speed generating technology. It provides a healthy dose of speed for bombing groomers, lapping park or beating your friends to your favourite stash.
Rome SDS lives and breathes snowboarding and has done so since day one. Seeking to reestablish the true roots of snowboarding, Rome kicked off production is 2001. Their goal was to create a brand that "lives the values of snowboarding and innovates products that increase the one thing that matters most in snowboarding: fun." They have overshot their goal by miles, and as true snowboarders at heart, we are stoked to have them as a part of our team.
