Hiking for early season slashes, artic mid-winter mornings and sun-soaked spring laps, the Reverb Rocker is here for season after season. Medium flex for maximum good times, the MtnPop Rocker 2.0 profile helps to engage turns and keep things catch free while providing maximum edge hold. If you need some extra float for powder lines or extra pop for park sessions, this deck offers the versatility for a perfect day on the hill.
All-Mountain Freestyle - You want to have fun on the whole mountain? This board does everything with ease, from kickers and rails in the park to side hits on the piste or powder runs and fast turns.
The perfectly symmetrical True Twin shape offers a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. The idea behind QuickRip SideCut is to give you a board that rails turns at high speeds with a playful feeling at slower speeds. To do this, Rome uses two sidecuts with the same radius, one in the mid-section of the board and one in the nose and tail regions. The intersection of these two arcs is near the bindings and creates the Mid-Board Contact Points.
MTN Pop Rocker 2.0 means rocker between the feet and positive camber in the nose and tail. Rome fine-tuned the amount of rocker between the feet to just make contact with the snow when you're not standing on the board. The result is more than enough float and playfulness from the rocker, while still allowing the positive camber in the nose and tail to deliver responsive power. Great for riders who like the best of both worlds - responsive turning, solid landing, powder floating, and nimble control.
The medium/stiff flex provides you with a lively board that allows you to stay in control at all speeds and pop over everything.
HotRods are at the core of almost every board Rome makes. They start with thin, hollow tubes of carbon, bamboo or glass and then insert them into milled channels in the core of the boards. These are arranged in different patterns and configurations all designed for specific riding situations and levels of responsiveness. Targeted flex and pop through custom-tailored HotRod placement and design. In many boards, Rome just wants to add a nice hit of ollie pop without making the board stiff at all when it twists. With a Bamboo Single Barrel in the centerline, they get this boost of power and leave the rest of the board feeling smooth and playful. The Pop Core Matrix features dual zones of ultra-lightweight wood converge with a body of snappy, responsive poplar for a buttery yet high-powered flex. The StraightBiax Carbon laminate takes the freestyle-oriented flex of 90-degree biaxial fibres and adds in longitudinal carbon strips to increase ollie power without any unwanted overall stiffness. The workhorse of base materials, the strong and absorbent SinterTrue Base is the first level of speed generating technology. It provides a healthy dose of speed for bombing groomers, lapping park or beating your friends to your favourite stash.
Rome SDS lives and breathes snowboarding and has done so since day one. Seeking to reestablish the true roots of snowboarding, Rome kicked off production is 2001. Their goal was to create a brand that "lives the values of snowboarding and innovates products that increase the one thing that matters most in snowboarding: fun." They have overshot their goal by miles, and as true snowboarders at heart, we are stoked to have them as a part of our team.
