Place your bets and get ready to double down on freestyle-infused all-mountain dominance. This flat cambered ATV is equal parts park pressable fun and grippy edge hold. Rome's Contact Camber balances flexibility and response, while the HotRods give it extra pop. An appetite for groomers, trees and park laps - the Blackjack is playing for keeps and it's all in.
All-Mountain Freestyle - You want to have fun on the whole mountain? This board does everything with ease, from kickers and rails in the park, to sidehits on the piste or tree runs and fast turns.
This True Twin board is symmetrical from the middle. With its balanced feel and equality toward switch riding, this shape helps drive the personality of Rome's park boards and the more jump-oriented all-mountain freestyle boards.
The Blackjack features Rome's Contact Camber, which has a flat camber throughout the entire running length of the board. For many riders, the Contact Camber is the best of both worlds with a lot of the pop that riders like in positive camber and a lot of the playfulness that riders like in rocker shapes. Then Rome added "pop" to this versatile feel by complementing the camber line with their new five-zone sidecut, the FiveGnar Sidecut. To add a lively, responsive feel to flat camber boards, Rome designed this complimentary sidecut that features two different sidecut radii used in five distinct zones of the board. The zones under the front and back feet are the same, while the zones in the nose, tail and middle of the board are all the same tighter radius sidecut. All zones are blended into each other to make one smooth arc that is not interrupted by bumps. With a tighter radius in the nose, tail and midsection, the board engages more actively, feels tighter in the middle of a turn and finishes the turn with more pop.
The Pop Core Matrix of the Blackjack is an everyday balance of response and lightness, a go-to design that is primarily built of responsive, strong wood, with two zones of a lighter wood species. The Straightbiax Carbon Laminate starts with the jump-and-rail personality of 90-degree fibres, then Rome added in longitudinal strips to increase ollie pop.
This board comes with Impact Base, built especially for the board that the Rome team riders like to take to the streets. This base is made with a stronger extruded compound to help fight against the abuse of rails and boxes.
HotRods Bamboo Single Barrel
With the HotRod Technology, Rome mill channels in the cores of nearly every board they make and integrate thin carbon, glass or bamboo rods for more pop and more power. Rome puts HotRods in the boards to deliver power to specific areas. In this board, the Bamboo Single Barrel delivers more pop in the centreline of the board without any unwanted torsional power to increase freeride edge hold.
Rome SDS lives and breathes snowboarding and has done so since day one. Seeking to reestablish the true roots of snowboarding, Rome kicked off production is 2001. Their goal was to create a brand that "lives the values of snowboarding and innovates products that increase the one thing that matters most in snowboarding: fun." They have overshot their goal by miles, and as true snowboarders at heart, we are stoked to have them as a part of our team.
