The flat-rockered brother of the infamous Artifact, this design is bred of the same park laps and urban zones but with a bit more pressable flex pattern. FreePop Rocker helps round out this rail hungry menace into a playful yet responsive freestyle machine. From the jump line, backyard park or the rope Ollie right off the chair, the Artifact Rocker adds style.
The Rebound Sidewalls deliver rail-specific durability for impacts. They feature higher elasticity than traditional ABS sidewall material, so you can run laps in the park every day of the season and have a board that takes the beating and comes back for more.
Freestyle - From rails and kickers in the park to street rails at night. This stick is going to be the right choice.
True Twin - This board is built identically from the middle. Riding and landing switch as easy as riding straight.
You get here a flat-to-rocker profile that combines responsiveness with finesse and float. The FreePop Rocker features flat camber under foot that extends slightly beyond the bindings. From in front of each binding through the nose and tail, Rome places a rocker profile. For riders who like to drive response between their feet and have a buttery feel in the nose and tail, this camber line delivers a versatile performance that is primary playful. The flat camber provides a stable platform for turning, while the rocker adds pressability in the park and float in pow.
The medium flex of 5 provides a more forgiving ride, while the board always holds enough reserves for stability and edge grip in extreme situations. You can do presses and butters with ease, and it will save you from hang-ups after not perfectly landed tricks.
The Stomp Core is a 100 % wood core with additional impact resistant wood in high impact areas to increase dampening and strength. With the Skatecore Profiling, you get a board that has skate-like turning and feel for locking into rails and easy maneuverability. For this kind of torsional flex, Rome makes the board’s core profile thinner between the bindings and thicken it under and outside of the bindings for a maximum skate like response. The end product is a deck that turns and snaps like a skate deck yet still bosses landings and carves. Straightbiax Laminate focuses on fun and a more mellow feel with its 90-degree fibers that drive the personality. With the Glass Single Barrel Hot Rod Technology, Rome mills channels in the core of the board and integrate thin a single barrel of glass that delivers more pop in the centreline of the board, without any unwanted torsional power to increase freeride edge hold. The Impact Base is designed for riders who don’t stop riding when the lifts aren’t spinning. This high-density design is engineered to stand up to the abuse of pavement, rocks, rails or anything else you can ride.
Rome SDS lives and breathes snowboarding and has done so since day one. Seeking to reestablish the true roots of snowboarding, Rome kicked off production is 2001. Their goal was to create a brand that "lives the values of snowboarding and innovates products that increase the one thing that matters most in snowboarding: fun." They have overshot their goal by miles, and as true snowboarders at heart, we are stoked to have them as a part of our team.
