The Ride Helix is an asymmetrical twin and might look a bit weird at first glance, but just wait till you have ridden it. The asymmetrical shape of this board provides you with sidecuts that are specified to the asymmetrical shape of a human body. This offers a more natural feel as well as better edge hold when carving on your heels. This is combined with an aggressive flex and Carbon Slimerods® to make this a one of a kind park board, ridden by ride pros from slopestyle courses to street spots.
The advanced to expert park rider that wants to hit every feature in the park, any day.
Twin Asym shape means that the board is designed to work with your body's natural asymmetries. Balancing toe and heelside playing into the strengths of each sides mechanics to enhance control and performance. Ergonomically designed around your natural kinesiology, so you don't have to adapt mentally or physically to use it. Due to the Twin shape, the snowboard rides equally well in both directions with a focus on freestyle.
The camber profile is an advocate of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to the core values of board design. Offering a snappy suspension, camber distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail.
The aggressive flex allows you to hit the biggest kickers while still being able to press through your favourite rail.
RIDE’s Slimerods® give already fun and playful boards the added liveliness to set them apart from other boards. Using strategic placement in the board’s tip and tail, this technology adds pop without the stiffness associated with snappy boards. The Performance Core is made of Aspen combined with bamboo and lightweight paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strength and weight. Hybrid Glass is triaxial on top and biaxial on base for balanced torsion and stiffness, which results in a better response. The Carbon 3 Array laminates are widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone to gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channelled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control. The sintered base is an industry standard for quality base materials. Provides a balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention. Slimewalls® are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding. The Impact Plates are added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most.
RIDE was created out of the vision of being a snowboard company "for the people", built on technical innovation, superior quality and "selling the dream,". Staying true to this every step of the way, RIDE have come a long way since launching the company in 1992 with only 4 board models to their name. With some of the highest quality boards, boots and bindings on the market, as a relatively small player, RIDE have managed to establish themselves as an industry leader in the snowboarding world.
