Full PROTECTION at a LIGHT WEIGHT! Ortovox developed SHIELD ZERO especially for the needs of MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS and avoided all superfluous details. The alpine pants will impress with their light weight and HIGH BREATHABILITY – and at the same time they are also VERY ROBUST and ELASTIC. The three pockets have enough room for small accessories and a map. Inserts made of MERINO MESH in the waistband and pocket linings ensure extra comfort.
For the MERINO SHIELD ZERO collection, ORTOVOX uses a mix of nylon and elastane in the main material. This makes the material exceptionally light and breathable, and at the same time extremely elastic and robust. The MERINO SHIELD ZERO line is water-resistant thanks to DWR treatment.
Material: MAIN MATERIAL: 93 % polyamide + 7 % elastane
LINING: 72 % polyester + 28 % virgin wool (MERINO)
Ortovox came to life when Gerald Kampel and Jürgen Wegner developed the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. They have since grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
