This softshell jacket was made for some steep ascents and perfect descents. Great materials were used to give you the perfect climate and a comfy feeling all around. On the inside Ortovox uses merino which is perfect if you enjoy touring because it regulates temperature, it's highly breathable and quick drying. Awesome conditions for a longs touring day. For the upper the new c_change™ membrane by Schoeller is used. A membrane that works perfectly together with the merino on the inside. It reacts immediately to the built-up of swear with special damp and temperature management. On really cold days the membrane closes and when it gets warmer or you start sweating, the pores open to cool you off. It is made out of polyamide and elastane which provides elasticity and robustness at the same time and keeps wind and water of you.
Ortovox came to life when Gerald Kampel and Jürgen Wegner developed the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. They have since grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
