The Tech Overall of the Rock'N'Wool collection is not only a stylish attire but also a naturally functional protection. Ortovox used high-quality merino from Tasmania which is thin but tear-resistant and has the same characteristics than normal merino. It is highly breathable, regulated temperature and neutralizes odours. And above all, this material was produced under sustainable farm management and animal welfare.
Ortovox came to life when Gerald Kampel and Jürgen Wegner developed the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. They have since grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
