The Haute Route has been around almost since the birth of ski touring. Ortovox`s proven classic is perfect for longer ski traverses. Thanks to the use of Cordura® and PFC-free double-layer polyamide 420D Oxford, the Haute Route 30 S is extremely abrasion-resistant and also water-repellent thanks to PU coating on all fabrics. A perfect fit is ensured by load control straps and the O-Flex-2 back system with ergonomic fit and an S-shaped stabilizer, which distributes the weight evenly between the hips and shoulders over longer periods of time.
The hip fins also connect to the inside of the back system so that they can enclose the body seamlessly and comfortably. The Haute Route 30 S has a shortened back system and is specially designed for shorter people. With its larger volume, the Haute Route 30 S fits everything that needs to be there. The spacious main compartment is accessible from above and from the back, so that all things are quickly at hand, while the separate safety compartment guarantees quick access to emergency equipment. Thanks to the rope fixation on the lid of the rucksack, a rope can be quickly packed or unpacked without having to open the lid. In addition to crampon attachment, ice axe and pole attachment and fixed helmet net, there are also flexible carrying attachments, e.g. for a snowboard. The skis can be attached to the ski touring backpack either classically or diagonally. No matter how long and demanding the tour, with the Haute Route 30 S you are well prepared for any multi-day tour.
Ortovox came to life with the invention of the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. With their passion for keeping skiers and snowboarders safe, Ortovox has grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
