Strong, robust and sustainable cooling: The durable yarn and natural cooling of Tencel® make the Ortovox 150 Merino Cool line for women ideal for hot summer days in the mountains.
Beta-Spun technology gives the 150 Cool Rules T-Shirts the required stability: This protective polyamide sheathing makes the fabric more scuff and tear resistant. Fine merino fibres simultaneously offer unique comfort and provide an optimum body climate, while the smooth surface of Tencel® fibres ensures great evaporative coolness when things get hot. This light, summer t-shirt will be the ideal companion on hot mountain days.
In the 150 Merino Cool line, Ortovox combines Tencel® fibres, sourced from sustainable forestry, with merino wool. The wood fibres are characterized by great evaporative coolness and flat fibre surface – ensuring it cools automatically. An intricate spinning process makes the material mix robust and extremely functional. Beta-Spun technology refers to a manufacturing process where fine polyamide fibres are spun around merino wool and Tencel®. The protective polyamide sheathing means the fabric is exceptionally scuff-resistant and robust – without sacrificing the benefits of merino fibres or the cooling Tencel® fibres.
Ortovox came to life with the invention of the first double frequency transceiver to aid in avalanche victim searches. With their passion for keeping skiers and snowboarders safe, Ortovox has grown into one of the biggest producers of avalanche safety gear on the market. In 1995 they added merino underwear to their selection, and we have been hooked ever since!
