One of the most key pieces for constant progression, Northwave boots should never restrict the learning curve. The Helix Spin is a super comfortable freestyle boot built for female rippers with a comfortable TF1 liner, and a Lightstep outsole to dampen harsh landings.
The Lightstep Outsole is the result of dedicated research and development seeking high-performing materials with a specific weight lower than average sole materials. The outsole is now 35% lighter compared to a traditional snowboard outsole. It can keep a perfect grip thanks to the new structure and new gripping design geometry, which has been built with innovative materials in order guarantee higher abrasion resistance. On top of that, it provides a perfect thermal isolation, protecting feet from the cold outside, and it constantly cushions every vibration and impact.
The TF1 liner features an advanced lining material constructed of thermo-fit foam which enhances target fit zones that can be customized instantly with a heater or over time from natural body heat for the perfect fit. The comfortable EVA footbed enhances side support for better thermal insulation and shock absorption. The women’s version comes with a specific women’s shaped-cut in the calf area.
The Spin lacing system provides a lasting performance at a lower weight. Simply push the dial downwards to close the boot and pull out to open the boot. In addition, it is 25% faster than other coiler reel systems. To close the boot, only 15 instead of 20 cycles are required. The 540° Heel Retention System passes the boot laces through pre-curved lace loops which help to minimize friction. When the laces are pulled to close the boot, they are simultaneously pulling the webbing where the lace loops are linked tight increasing heel stability. This mechanism is a result of the webbing passing through a hole from the side of the boot tightening the liner over the ankle area. The more the lace is pulled the more power will be transferred through the ankle area, increasing heel retention performance and foot stability.
Please take care to measure your feet accurately. Snowboard boots are made in either US or Mondopoint (cm) sizes.
For your Mondopoint Size, measure your larger foot in centimetres with your heel against a hard surface.
Please consider that your usual European (EU) size, may be different in a snowboard boot.
When your boots arrive, if they feel tight, don't panic! Snowboard Boots have foam liners which will wear in over time.
Northwave Boots are comfortable, warm and most importantly will take your snowboarding to the next level. The boots have been hand crafted in Italy for the last 20 years and are of the highest possible quality.
