The Stump Ape is the short, wide, floaty directional freeride stick for big guys. It features lots of surface area and a short length for agile action in tight terrain and trees. The Horsepower construction makes the board very lightweight and adds stability for high speed turns on the slopes and in the backcountry.
This board is perfect for you, if you are an advanced rider and always on the hunt for untouched pow fields and deep carving turns. Due to its short, wide design, it is very manoeuvrable and perfect for technical, tight terrain.
A Tapered Directional board is the best for all-mountain freeriding. The nose is longer and wider than the tail, giving you plenty of control in any terrain, and the stance is set back to help you float above the pow. The Magne-Traction® serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice.
C2x means short rocker between the bindings combined with large cambers under the bindings. This combination offers good edge hold thanks to the camber underfoot, as well as great float in powder and unlimited freestyle action without hang-ups thanks to the rocker.
The medium-stiff flex provides you with a lively board that allows you to stay in control at all speeds and pop over everything.
The Horsepower Construction is the first upgrade in Lib Techs constructions. The Core consists of 60% aspen and 40% paulownia, giving you a strong and light core with a crisp pop. Bi-ax and Tri-Ax Glass as well as Basalt Alloy surround the wood core and add the needed stiffness and durability. Birch Internal Sidewalls are placed along the sidewall of your board to add board control to the sandwich construction. Stronger, more pop, and more control. The Eco Sublimated TNT Base is fast and durable. The UHMW Sintered Sidewalls are a Lib Tech innovation. Twice as sintered as any other sidewalls, tough, fast, hard, waterproof, handsome and light. NO TOXIC ABS! As edges do not go throughout at tip and tail, these areas are protected by a UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection system to avoid damage. The Lightweight Spin Slim Tip / Tail gives the Swiss Knife the extra portion of freestyle performance. Finally, the Non Compis Mentis Textured Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet features a tough and eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.
For some 30+ years, Lib Tech has been pushing the limits of innovation in the surf and snow sports industry. With their production still based in the US, they set out to do something different. With new shapes and technologies each year, Lib Tech want riders to have a grin on their face when using their products. A company that never stops changing is something we hugely admire, and doing so whilst keeping an eye on the environment will give you a big thumbs up from us any day of the week.
