EASY CLIMBING: Lightweight, thin tips, an ultralight Paulownia wood core, and an early rise C3 camber profile, make every ascend as easy as possible.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE DESCENTS: The extended nose shape and early rise C3 profile enhance the float in powder. The tail lift improves switch manoeuvrability in tight terrain and offers freestyle freedom. Lightweight, stainless steel, Karakoram Ultra Clips are easy to use, with maximum assembled compression, and minimal seam shearing or rattle. 3D integrated clip insert mounts eliminate the need for clip T-bolts. The fast TNT base comes in a highly visible safety orange base graphics.
The Split BRD is built for powerful riders who are driven to push the limits of what’s possible in the backcountry and demand a splitboard that offers the same ultra-responsive freestyle-performance as a solid deck.
Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition. A tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced deep snow flotation. The greater amount of volume in front of you will allow for effortless turning in deep or soft snow and increase the float of your board tremendously. The Magne-Traction serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. They turn ice into powder.
The C3 profile features a mild rocker between the feet while the rest of the board is profiled like a standard camber. This profile offers an aggressive ride that provides a lot of control and response in every terrain. The mild rocker will give the board just a little bit more playfulness and float than standard camber profiles, while not compromising the positive properties of camber. The tip kicks up with an early rise outside the feet for the catch-free, loose feeling you’d expect from rocker.
The flex of this board is happy in the medium, perfect to shred everything, stable enough to go fast and big, yet flexible enough to press and butter.
The 'Split Firepower Construction' SFP features a lower spin weight tip and tail, combined with an extended core, thinner tip tail profile, carbon stiffening, and Balsa Tech from Lib Techs High-End Board the Cygnus X1. The core consists completely of Paulownia for a smooth ride with reduced weight and vibration. Bi-ax and Tri-ax fibreglass surrounds the woodcore and adds the needed stiffness and durability. The TnT Base features a fast and low maintenance dual layered fluoro base material. Wax it or maybe skip a day. Birch Internal Sidewalls are placed along the sidewall of your board to add board control to the sandwich construction. Stronger, more pop, and more control. The UHMW Sintered Sidewalls are a Lib Tech innovation. Twice as sintered as any other sidewall. Tough, fast, hard, waterproof, handsome and light. NO TOXIC ABS! Finally, the Bio Beans Topsheet features a tough and Eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.
For some 30+ years, Lib Tech has been pushing the limits of innovation in the surf and snow sports industry. With their production still based in the US, they set out to do something different. With new shapes and technologies each year, Lib Tech want riders to have a grin on their face when using their products. A company that never stops changing is something we hugely admire, and doing so whilst keeping an eye on the environment will give you a big thumbs up from us any day of the week.
