Magical all-terrain performance
Mike Olsen, co-founder of Lib Tech and Gnu, has over 40 years of experience in snowboard construction. He took this experience and put it into the Magic BM. The C2 hybrid rocker profile floats effortlessly in powder. Its deep sidecut combined with the radical rocker profile offers incredible edge hold for carving on hardpack and ice. All this is combined with a pow friendly, floaty nose shape making this one a magically fun, high-performance all-terrain snowboard.
Riding Style
The Magic BM is an all-mountain / freeride board for advanced riders. A fun deck for all conditions and every terrain.
Shape
This directional twin provides you with some extra float in the powder and excellent switch riding capabilities. Due to the setback of the bindings towards the tail, the nose is a little bit longer, while the shape of the nose and tail is still symmetrical. The Magne-Traction serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice.
Profile
C2 means rocker between the bindings combined with radial cambers under the bindings. This combination offers good edge hold thanks to the camber underfoot, as well as great float in powder and unlimited freestyle action without hang-ups thanks to the rocker.
Flex
The medium flex fits perfectly to the all-mountain design of this board. Stiff enough for powerful turns, soft enough for a playful ride.
Construction
The Firepower Construction FP is the ultimate Lib Tech construction design: lighter, environmentally nicer, smoothest. The core consists of 50% Aspen and 40% Paulownia wood for the smoothest riding core with reduced weight and vibration. Additional 10% Balsa wood reduces the weight even more. Tri-Ax Glass and Basalt add stiffness and precision to the board. The Sintered Eco Sublimated Base is very fast but requires careful maintenance.
The top sheet is made of Eco Sublimated Bio Beans. The UHMW Sintered Sidewalls are a Lib Tech innovation. Twice as sintered as any other sidewalls, tough, fast, hard, waterproof, handsome and light. NO TOXIC ABS! As edges do not go throughout at tip and tail, these areas are protected by a UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection system to avoid damage. The Lightweight Spin Slim Tip / Tail gives the board an extra portion freestyle performance.
