The Lib Tech BRD is the perfect daily driver to rip the whole mountain. The early rise nose ensures great float in the pow, the C3 profile gives you a lot of pop and bite and thanks to the freestyle-friendly tail you can stomp your tricks anywhere and anytime.
Riding Style
The BRD is the snowboard for advanced and expert level riders, to shred the resort and backcountry, and stomp freestyle tricks out there.
Shape
Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition. A tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced deep snow flotation. The greater amount of volume in front of you will allow for effortless turning in deep or soft snow and increase the float of your board tremendously. The Magne-Traction® serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice.
Profile
The C3 profile is a classic camber profile with a mild rocker between the bindings. This offers precise edge control from nose to tail and maximum stability for high airs and landings. The mild rocker makes the board a bit more playful and offers more float than conventional camber profiles.
Flex
The medium flex of this board is perfect to shred everything, stable enough to go fast and big, yet flexible enough to press and butter.
Construction
The Original Power Construction OP+ is a very lightweight, environmentally nice and strong construction design of Lib Tech. The 75% Aspen and 25% Paulownia wood core is robust with a lot of pop. Bi-ax and tri-ax fibreglass provide a snappy board feel. The Non Compis Mentis Textured Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet is made of Eco-sublimated materials. UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection protect your board. The sintered base is very fast but requires careful maintenance.
For some 30+ years, Lib Tech has been pushing the limits of innovation in the surf and snow sports industry. With their production still based in the US, they set out to do something different. With new shapes and technologies each year, Lib Tech want riders to have a grin on their face when using their products. A company that never stops changing is something we hugely admire, and doing so whilst keeping an eye on the environment will give you a big thumbs up from us any day of the week.
