K2 has created a pair of boots for Snowsurfers needing freedom in their ankle and knee movements. The Taro Tamai Snowsurfer is a flexible, comfortable high-end boot, made for surfing all around the mountain. Conventional high-end boot design has long been focusing on being stiff, sturdy and tough to support big-air landings and more powerful turns. The Taro Tamai Snowsurfer has broken this convention in order to regain the freedom of the ride and superior comfort by creating a flexible high-end boot, allowing precise flow control in powder riding without compromising ankle support. That feeling of freedom that skater and surfers have around their feet - this was the inspiration for creating these boots. This same freedom is what allowed the snowsurf style of riding in various snow conditions and in complex three-dimensional terrain to exist. The concept was to make the presence of the boot disappear.
Combining Vibram's® 70 years of experience in outsole design with K2's 28 years of snowboarding knowledge, the Vibram® V4 is the very best in snowboard outsoles. Focused on durability, weight reduction, grip and classic lug design, it just doesn't get any better than the V4 outsole.
The all-new SpaceHeather liner is the result of a two-year development process with the K2 Alliance. For years they have tolerated cold feet while riding and decided to put an end to the chill. Thanks to the silver reflective blanket panel built around the toes and instep, your natural body heat reflects back and stays in the liner. At the same time, cold coming in from the shell is reflected back and stays out. The SpaceHeather also features Intuition Foam that thermoforms to the foot for a custom fit, internal J-bars and a3D moulded, dual density EVA insole. Your feet will be snug and cosy all day long!
The Focus Boa® is a two-reel lacing system that allows for the upper and lower zones of the boot to be tightened independently, for the ultimate in customised fit.
Please take care to measure your feet accurately. Snowboard boots are made in either US or Mondopoint (cm) sizes.
For your Mondopoint Size, measure your larger foot in centimetres with your heel against a hard surface.
Please consider that your usual European (EU) size, may be different in a snowboard boot.
When your boots arrive, if they feel tight, don't panic! Snowboard Boots have foam liners which will wear in over time.
