To explore critical lines and charge spines, the K2 Joy Driver Split is fresh off the press and built for the alpine attack. Co-designed with K2 pro Lucas DeBari, the split version of the Joy Driver has the same durable Bambooyah™ core and All-Terrain Camber Baseline™ technology – versatile rocker tips and a responsive camber midsection so you don’t compromise all-terrain performance. The Joy Driver Split is K2’s most precise splitboard and comes equipped with Z Clip™ skin attachments for quick and secure transitions, as well as Splittrack inserts to attach your bindings.
If you like fresh pow runs and all terrain backcountry freestyle, this might be the perfect board for you.
The Joy Rider Split has a directional shape which increases float and stability at speed. Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
The All-Terrain Baseline is designed for use anywhere on the mountain and allows effortless
turns on hardpack but also provides ample float in softer snow and crud. Designed as a directional Baseline, AT has a medium rocker through the tip and a lower rocker in the tail. The perfect setup for the all-purpose rider. In combination with a classic Camber shape, the weight is spread evenly from the tail to the nose, thus ensuring a smooth, continuous edge control.
The stiff flex provides a quick feedback of the board and a direct response to your movements. Absolute running smoothness is thus guaranteed at high speed.
The Bambooyah™ core is a skate-inspired horizontal laminated core. Build for ultimate durability and with extra long warranty coverage against core breakage. Ultra Tech™ is designed specifically for the needs of the Splitboarder, Ultra Tech is as tough and lightweight as it gets. Comprised of a molded edge that lands on a half height sidewall optimized to take the abuse of slapping and banging the two “skis” together while skinning. A thinner sintered base results in lighter weight and better static elimination and therefore better glide. This is the highest quality sintered material in the world. A Carbon Web boosts the feel and energy return of K2 boards. The Carbon Web extends out beyond the contact points, supporting the whole length of the tip and tail. Resulting in a more connected feedback loop from terrain to rider.
Coming off of over 50 years of experience, based in one of the snow densest spots on earth, K2 know a thing or two about snow sports. If you want serious innovation and world-class technology that will let you play your heart out and put a bight smile on your face, K2 is the company for you.
