The ultimate splitboard boot from K2

Outer boot
Thought through to the last detail, the Endo™ 2.0 construction rises to the challenge and gives you a boot that scores with flexibility and durability.
Endo is a completely new way of thinking about construction. The basis is an endo-skeleton made of urethane which replaces the various layers in normal construction. Compared to conventionally glued and sewn frames, the Endo structure can be flexed as often as desired and always returns to its original position and strength at the end - without sacrificing performance. This creates a permanently consistent flex and a boot that always behaves neutrally in all conditions.
For ultimate grip and durability, the Vibram® Mountaineer outsole. Absolute hold is guaranteed in every situation. It is compatible with crampons and designed for the backcountry.

Liner
With high-density, thermoformable Intuition® Pro Foam 3D Liner and internal and external J-Bars, the liner has a precise fit and performance that meets the demands of a pro.
A 3D-moulded EVA insole rounds off the liner with plenty of comfort.

Lacing system
With the patented BOA® Conda™ it is possible to open or re-lace the liner at any time without having to open the outer lacing. If you've tried it for the first time, you'll wonder how you managed without it.
The CONDA™ system is connected to the outer boot by a BOA® cog and wraps around the liner to keep your foot firmly in place. The focus is clearly on heel support and ankle support. You can choose how tight you want your liner laced and can conveniently adjust it individually. You can lace up the outer boot quickly and easily with the traditional lacing.

Nachdem ich bei Splitboard-Touren mit meinen weichen Soft-Boots immer wieder leichte Schwierigkeiten bei Hangquerungen und sehr steilen Gelände gehabt habe, entschloss ich mich auf steifere Splitboard-Boots umzusteigen. Dadurch, dass ich auch gerne auf längeren Touren und auch auf steilem Terrain unterwegs bin, brauchte ich einen komfortablen Boot mit höherer Steifigkeit und guter Performance in der Abfahrt. Mit einem hohen Flex von 9, integriertem Boa Innenschuh Schnürung und steigeisenfester Vibramsohle fiel die Entscheidung auf den K2 Aspect in Größe EU 45. Hinsichtlich der Passform, mit meiner etwas breiteren Fußform, die absolut richtige Entscheidung.

Ich habe diese Boots nun auf 5 Splitboard-Touren in allen Bedingungen getestet und bin positiv überrascht wie groß der Unterschied zu meinen weichen Soft Boots ist. Ich hatte eine weit besser Performance bei Hangquerungen und im Aufstieg. Daneben überzeugt der Boot mit seinem hohen Tragekomfort und das auch bei langen Touren. Nur in der Abfahrt musste ich mich bei den ersten Rides erst an die Steifigkeit des Boots gewöhnen. Sehr gut gefällt mir die Boa Innenschuh Schnürung und die Powerstraps, die eine super Passform gewährleisten.

Ich würde diesen Boot allen Splitboard-Fahrern empfehlen, die einen verlässlichen (Boot-)Begleiter haben möchten, der auch bei steileren und weiteren Touren eine gute Performance verspricht. Kombiniert mit dem hohen Tragekomfort, kann ich eine klare Empfehlung aussprechen.
