A glance at the Jones Strom Chaser Split is enough to see that this beast was made for deep days! The short splitboard with lots of volume was developed by Jeremy Jones in collaboration with surf shaper Chris Christenson. When those two professionals meet, it is clear that a masterpiece is being created. Have fun snorkelling!

Riding Style
This snowboard is for you if you like to explore secret spots on mountains in a playful way. Tree runs, Powder? Everything is possible with this short Splitboard: Jumps and extreme powder turns are super comfortable and with the Storm Chaser you can go anywhere on the mountain!

Shape
The Strom Chaser Split has a directional shape which increases float and stability at speed. In deep snow the blunt nose makes sure less snow comes over the sides of your nose than it would with a regular shape. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Edges like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech 1.0 improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.

Profile
Custom tip/tail rocker profile designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson. The nose rocker starts just inside of the front inserts and the tail rocker starts just at the back inserts. When you weight the tail of the board the nose ramps up out of the snow for insane float on the deepest days. These subtle rocker contours match a Christenson surfboard rocker profile. The Quick Tension Tail features a built-in climbing skin tension system using a pre-cut notch that eliminates the need for a traditional skin tail clip.

Flex
This board’s flex is medium stiff, rated as 7 on a scale to 10 and will go fast without troubles. This gun has a precise response and allows to keep the speed while you are riding through fresh pow.

Construction
The heart of the Storm Chaser Split is the dual-density full premium wood Control Split Core designed specifically for splitboards. 2:1 paulownia to poplar stringer ratio keeps core light yet ultra damp. A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fibreglass laminate provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride. The Bio-plastic topsheet is made from Castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant and water/snow repellent (snow sticks less to topsheet). The Sintered 9900 Base, made of Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and Carbon is easy to repair thanks to the UHMW-PE. All Jones Snowboards are factory tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.
