The Project X is a razor sharp, ultralight board, made with Jones Snowboards most advanced materials and construction technologies. Jones' board engineer Xavier Nidecker designed the Project X to be a board that reflects the future of snowboard production. The Project X is the lightest and most advanced board in the Jones quiver. The Project X features a limited edition, hand numbered serial badge.

Shape
This Directional Twin will provide you with some extra float in the deep fluffy stuff while still providing excellent switch riding capabilities. Due to the setback of the bindings towards the tail, the nose gets a little bit longer, while the shape of nose and tail is still symmetric. In deep snow, the Blunt Nose makes sure that less snow comes over the sides of your nose, as that would naturally slow you down. This shape also means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Edges like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech 1.0 improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board. At the far ends of the Progressive Sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

Profile
The Power Camber is an innovative traditional camber profile tweaked to offer the insane edge response of camber without the usual hang-ups. The camber radius tapers to flat toward the tips and the base is beveled up one degree at the edges from the contact points of the camber to the ends of the board. The base beveling releases the edges where they like to hook which balances the pop and directional stability of camber with a looser, less-catchy feel
The new Spoon 3D-base contours were specifically designed to provide next-level glide. With less friction and catch in the tips, you can maintain more speed, flow, and float. The moderate Spoon 2.0 3D-base contour features an even balance of 4mm spoon bevel in the nose and 4mm spoon bevel in the tail. The spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.

Flex
´The Project X has a medium-firm flex. This gun has a very accurate response and can stomp bigger airs than humanly possible.

Construction
The Ultra Construction puts materials exactly where they are needed while eliminating all excess materials. Combining these innovative construction techniques with superlight wood cores and carbon fibre deliver revolutionary results. Jones Ultra boards are the lightest, yet most durable snowboards on earth.
The triple-density Ultra ISO Core features stringers of ISOCORE - a foam/fiberglass composite that’s as stiff as any wood but 15% lighter. Hardwood beech stringers are positioned along the edges for added durability. 2x TeXtreme Carbon is a specially designed carbon fiber that is podium proven in the America’s Cup and Tour De France. TeXtreme achieves a weight savings of about 20-30% compared to conventional carbon fiber. The Sintered Ultra Base is a World Cup proven race base made from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) modified with special Fluoro and Paraffin based additives for better glide and increased durability. The ULTRA base is harder and faster than any other sintered base.
The ECO-Plastic Topsheet is made from Castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant and water/snow repellent (snow sticks less to topsheet). At the Fusion Tech, Jones exclusive production process replaces the traditional Topsheet layer with ultra durable epoxy layer saving weight and material. All Jones boards are made with Oversized Recycled Steel Edges for added durability and improved production sustainability. The Rubber edge dampening and ABS Sidewall material is made of 100 % recycled material. Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax as well as factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain. By flip flopping the base graphic colour, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced by increasing the material yield.

Snowboardy a lyže jsou obvykle dodávány ve stavu „připravené k jízdě“ s nabroušenými hranami a navoskovanou skluznicí. Tato údržba z továrny však není příliš odolná, a proto byste si po pár dnech měli snowboard anebo lyže řádně navoskovat a pravidelně udržovat.
