Forest Bailey's bold manoeuvres on metal and concrete and his visually pleasing airborne aesthetic carry over seamlessly to his art. In the perfect combination of award-winning technology and Forest's original work, comes his dream board. Like all Gnu Snowboards, the Head Space is handmade in the USA and tested on Mt. Weird by snowboarders with jobs.
An intermediate to pro level board with an unreal performance in the park and streets, but also all around the resort.
Twin Asym Freestyle shape means that the board is designed to work with your body's natural asymmetries. Balancing toe and heelside playing into the strengths of each sides mechanics to enhance control and performance. Ergonomically designed around your natural kinesiology so you don't have to adapt mentally or physically to use it. Due to the Twin shape, the snowboard rides equally well in both directions with a focus on freestyle. Take advantage of the Magne-Traction edges to effortlessly link turns that look and feel nice whether they are at high speeds or slow and controlled. The Magne-Traction serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. They turn ice into powder.
The C3 performance hybrid camber profile features a mild rocker between the feet while the rest of the board is profiled like a standard camber. This profile offers an aggressive ride that provides a lot of control and response in every terrain. The mild rocker will give the board just a little bit more playfulness and float than standard camber profiles, while not compromising the positive properties of camber. Some benefits for the advanced riders are precise edge control, maximum stability for high jumps and landings and fast lines.
The flex of this board is happy in the medium, perfect to shred everything, stable enough to go fast and big, yet flexible enough to press and butter.
The Sintered Base is compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding base material around. Slides best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions. The core consists of Aspen/Columbian and Gold Alloy woods, this makes the core lightweight, sustainable, strong and poppy. Bi-ax and Tri-ax fiberglass surrounds the Woodcore and adds the needed stiffness and durability. The Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls. Finally, the Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet features a tough and eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.
GNU, handbuilt in the USA since 1977. The heritage of GNU is linked with that of snowboarding itself, back when snowboarding was considered weird. The company continues this weird and wonderful heritage with their, 'Unreal Snowboarding'.
