20+ years of professional snowboarding, the invention of the Barrett Roll and many X Games gold medals - Barrett Christy is a snowboarding legend. Over the past two decades, Barrett has had a heavy hand in the progression of snowboarding and snowboards. The directional shape of the Gnu Barrett in combination with a powerful C3 Camber profile guarantees best edge hold for carving and maximum pop. A large nose ensures pow float through the deep stashes. A versatile snowboard that lets you rip anytime and anywhere.
GNU supports the Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) Foundation with this product. This is a non-profit foundation that promotes early detection and a healthy, active and sustainable lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention. For every product sold, a share goes directly to B4BC.
All-mountain/freeride for intermediate riders - This board is perfect for you if you're looking for a versatile board for high-speed turns on the slopes and in the backcountry. No matter the terrain or snow condition, this is your everyday resort and backcountry performer.
A Tapered Directional board is great for all-mountain freeriding. The nose is a bit wider than the tail, giving you plenty of control in any terrain. The stance is set back towards the tail, increasing the length of the nose. This helps you to float above the pow. The Magne-Traction® serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice.
The C3 profile is a classic camber profile with a mild rocker between the bindings. This offers precise edge control from nose to tail and maximum stability for high airs and landings. The mild rocker makes the board a bit more playful and offers more float than conventional camber profiles.
The medium-stiff flex provides you with a lively board that allows you to stay in control at all speeds and pop over everything.
The G3 ECO construction is environmentally friendly, robust and the lightest construction design from Gnu. The Balsa, Aspen and Paulownia wood core is very durable, lightweight and offers a lot of pop. Bi-ax and tri-ax fibreglass provide a snappy board feel. The top sheet is made of Eco-sublimated bio beans. The sintered Base is very fast but requires careful maintenance.
Gnu have been around since the birth of snowboarding, claiming weird, open minded experimentation to be their job. They have worked with mysterious materials, bizarre geometries, contours and board shapes, far out art and colors, odd terrain and freakish riders to create fantastic progressive snowboards that have helped take snowboarding to wild and magical places. A brand we are happy to call one of the family.
