The Super Progressive Air Machine is a hybrid beast borne of the cross pollination of two wild things, Airblaster x Gnu. Imagine a Pterodactyl mating with a Wildebeest. Imagine it. There, now you can understand the feeling that you’ll get every time you step onto the Super Progressive Air Machine. Like every good Gnu, it comes equipped with unreal pop, a powerful build, and the natural ability to frolic playfully or thoroughly smash unruly terrain. And like every good pterodactyl, its unique shape lends its effortless ability to float as well as airborne agility unmatched in its class.
If you like effortlessly floating through powder, smashing unruly terrain, and blasting into the air, this hybrid beast is for you.
This board is pretty directional, it has a fair amount of setback and a wider nose than tail. This boosts the board’s performance in deeper snow. The narrower tail will make turning in powder easier, while the wider nose and setback keeps you afloat through the deepest and steepest. Take advantage of the Magne-Traction edges to effortlessly link turns that look and feel nice whether they are at high speeds or slow and controlled. The Mini Magne-Traction serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. They turn ice into powder.
The C3 performance hybrid camber profile features a mild rocker between the feet while the rest of the board is profiled like a standard camber. This profile offers an aggressive ride that provides a lot of control and response in every terrain. The mild rocker will give the board just a little bit more playfulness and float than standard camber profiles, while not compromising the positive properties of camber. Some benefits for the advanced riders are precise edge control, maximum stability for high jumps and landings and fast lines.
The Flex is stiffer than medium, this gives the board a balanced feel. It’s hard enough to stay in control on hard charged mountain lines or bigger kickers, but still, has enough flex for advanced powder buttering.
The Eco Sublimated TNT Base is hard, fast and virtually maintenance free. A Gnu sublimation system exclusive oddity, that loves a good wax but still slides great even when you forget to. The core consists of a strong Aspen spine with Columbian Gold on either side for a crisp pop and Paulownia on the toe and heel edges for Gnu's smoothest riding core with reduced weight, enhanced strength and pop. Bi-ax and Tri-ax fibreglass surrounds the Woodcore and adds the needed stiffness and durability. The Ultra High Molecular Weight exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer are laminated to five internal wood layers for totally bombproof sidewalls. Finally, the Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet features a tough and eco-sublimated layer to complete the construction.
GNU, handbuilt in the USA since 1977. The heritage of GNU is linked with that of snowboarding itself, back when snowboarding was considered weird. The company continues this weird and wonderful heritage with their, 'Unreal Snowboarding'.
