Want something to stand the test of time? Something that can bring you home warm and dry after a rainstorm? Then the Greenland Jacket is just the thing for you. A real classic in the Fjällräven family, perfect if you like to spend time outdoors no matter the season or the weather. The jacket was developed in1968 by Åke Nordin in collaboration with members of the Greenland expedition of 1966. The original was made from tent material that was too heavy for lightweight tents. The result was an extremely durable and much appreciated jacket for climbers. It has been passed down between generations, and still holds its own. The jackets made from Fjällräven G-1000 original fabric with double layers of fabric covering the shoulders and the yoke. The G-1000 also helps to ventilate moisture when you are being active. To make the jacket extra durable slap on a coat of Greenland Wax.
From being a staple in every Swedish household in the ‘70s, Fjällräven has slowly but surely captured the hearts of outdoor enthusiasts the world over. For over 50 years Fjällräven has been working towards making your experience in the outdoors as comfortable as possible whilst focusing on minimizing their environmental impact. Engaged in trying to save the endangered arctic fox, everything Fjällräven do is done with the well being of the world around us in mind.
