Capita and Spring Break Snowboards teamed up again to bring you a series of powder surfboards, inspired by the handcrafted shapes by Corey Smith. The Spring Break powder series comes with a surfy oldskool vibe, which will introduce you to a whole new level of freedom while floating the backcountry. The shapes and overall impression of the boards come with a pure appearance, still, the boards are made in Capita´s Mothership - which means you deal with some state of the art gear! Capita and Spring Break started an experiment to bring back snowboarding to where it should be and it is on you to be a part of it.
The Spring Break powder series is designed for riders who love deep snow and are all about surfing some white waves with the vibe of a classic surfboard shape.
Directional is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
The Surf Rocker profile has an under-foot flat camber, a large rocker area in the nose and a smaller rocker in the tail. The enormous float of the rockered nose improves manoeuvrability while the flat camber underfoot provides edge hold and response.
The medium-stiff flex provides you with a lively board that allows you to stay in control at all speeds and pop over everything.
Based on the Surflite Core™ you get a highly buoyant board with a high-tech heart under your feet. Without adding weight, the Forged Carbon Quad Packs under the insert packs reinforce the whole construction. The Ultradrive™ base is sintered for speed yet still allows for a full-colour graphic on the base. This base is fast and hard and absorbs more wax to wick longer and ride faster. Triax/Biax Holysheet™ has higher glass to weight ratio than normal fibreglass, for a more powerful and dynamic ride. When impregnated with a high-performance plant-based Magic Bean™ resin, you get a high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.
No only do Capita produce some of the best snowboards on the market, but they do so whilst keeping their impact on the planet as low as possible. Their production facility, known as The Mothership, is a 100% hydro powered factory with a natural gas heating system with zero (that's right ZERO) harmful emission. Their goal is to keep the spirit and joy of snowboarding alive for generations to come. We hope to see more companies follow in their footsteps.
