Bent Metal Solution 2021 Binding - high speed and maximum control
The Solution, the supercar of bindings, just got more super with the addition of the all-new dyadic construction Dual Band ankle strap and canted EVA footbed with a shock-absorbing heel pad. Add to that the unmatched weight to strength ratio of a carbon fiber highback and unflinching performance of a carbon fiber Flex Control Drive Plate you have one seriously tricked out speedster. All the lightest strongest elements we could dig up, murdered out, and built for speed.
Highback
The Precision Carbon Fiber Highback is made of a firm flexing, ultralight carbon composite material. This makes the highback very stiff and very light, with a fast response for steep terrain. The flex-rate is 8 out of 10. On the back of the highback, the Cube offers a fast and easy forward lean adjustment.
Baseplate
The Solution has a two-piece design: A responsive aluminum heel cup and a polymer chassis, the perfect combination for a precise ride. Flex Control Drive Plates are built from a number of layers to provide you with the right amount of power and flex. The Carbon Fibre Drive Plate has a firm flex. It is constructed from a top layer EVA foam footbed and a fiber-reinforced nylon carriage at the bottom. The layers consist of an ecological bio-bean top and bottom sheet, two layers of carbon fiber, and a maple wood core with UHMW sidewalls. This gives the base its stiff flex and the necessary high response, to transmit precise, powerful edge to edge control and performance in the most challenging conditions. The Pivot Discs are compatible with 2x4 and The Channel™ mounting patterns. The reduced size increases the true board flex. The new Heelshock Pad is a Canted footbed padding and centers the riders balance while increasing drive and pop. A Heel Shock Pod provides extra absorption from hard landings.
Straps
Bent Metal's Cor-Pro comes with a new Dual Band Strap. This strap consists of 2 bands with different flexibility and individual performance. This update increases comfort and, at the same time, responsiveness. The thin leather padding creates a more direct board feeling. In the toe area, the Cor-Pro comes with the new Grip Form Toe Straps. Thanks to their design, the straps adapt perfectly to any boot and ensure maximum performance. With Forged Aluminum Buckles, the binding can be fastened and unclipped quickly and smoothly.
