While your toes are perfect for keeping your balance, your heels are not! That's why Bataleon created the Asym 3BT with a more playful triple base on the toeside and more control on the heelside. For a maximum of balance and control in every situation. Ethan and Halldor were two Evil Twins in the development of this Asymmetric shape. Science, baby!
The ETA is agile and provides a maximum of control. Either if it's park or pow - for this board the kickers can't be big enough or the landings steep enough.
In the park there's only one true shape and that's the true twin. But the ETA has its very own and unique Asym 3BT shape. The board itself is symmetrical from tip to tail. It's only the edge uplift that's asymmetrical.
The Asym 3BT consists of a relatively wide centerbase just like the Park 3BT. But the edge uplift on the toeside starts from within the bindings. On the heelside the uplift is outside the binding area. This creates more flexibility on the toes and more control on the heels. The camber stays fully loaded and is balanced out for kickers and rails alike.
The hardest flex among the twin boards is nothing for sissies, it's meant for real men. Massive pop for massive airtime.
A poplar wood core is streaked with bamboo and additionally reinforced with tri-axial fiberglass. This means massive pop and stability. The X-shaped carbon slabs beneath the bindings provide a precise power transmission from edge to edge. The sintered Hyper Glide S base is hard and fast, but wax it good!
You'll be interested to know that Bataleon has its roots in the Netherlands. Yes, you read that right - THE NETHERLANDS! They don't even have mountains there! Yet somehow, they have managed to create some of the best snowboards around. Their patented 3BT™ (Triple Base Technology) lets them produce boards with traditional camber AND lifted contact points, giving you a smoother, faster and lighter ride. Who doesn't want that?
