Terrain parks are a distorted reality.. for some people at least. With the Bataleon Distortia the ladies can twist and tweak this reality to the fullest. This board is strong and flexible and makes both rails and kickers a fun thing.
One board for everything real park chicks love! The Distortia is flexible enough for smooth jibs but still strong enough for stomping the big ones.
In the park there's only one true shape and that's the true twin. The Distortia of course comes with a Twin 3BT shape with a symmetrical tip and tail. Balance and stability no matter which direction you take off or land.
The Twin 3BT consists of a relatively wide centerbase and just a mellow sidebase uplift. This helps you keep control on presses and at high speed. The mellow camber is perfectly dosed for flexible rail riding and poppy enough for hitting kickers.
The smooth flex is also straight park riding. Easy jibbing and jumping with a soft but steady board.
A poplar wood core is streaked with beech wood along the inserts and sandwiched with bi-axial fiberglass. This means great press and pop properties plus a quick manoeuverability. The X-shaped basalt stringers beneath the bindings provide a precise power transmission from edge to edge. The PLT topsheet is applied after the board is pressed, making it super slick and flexy. The extruded Super Slick X base is very durable, fast and requires almost just minimal care.
You'll be interested to know that Bataleon has its roots in the Netherlands. Yes, you read that right - THE NETHERLANDS! They don't even have mountains there! Yet somehow, they have managed to create some of the best snowboards around. Their patented 3BT™ (Triple Base Technology) lets them produce boards with traditional camber AND lifted contact points, giving you a smoother, faster and lighter ride. Who doesn't want that?
