Freeride World Tour 2011: and the winner are...

Great performance of the german and austrian competitors in La Clusaz!

This weekend was the first stog of the Freeride World Qualifier 2011 on the La Clusaz Radikal Mountain in France. The austrian and german Rider  achieved a very good result.


Aline Bock (GER) came first in snowboarding, beating Liz Kristoferitsch (AUT) and Ursula Wohlschlager (AUT). 


Among the snowboarders Christian Schnabel (AUT) won, Flo Örley (AUT) achieved the 2nd place and Mike Aeschbach (SUI) the third. Janette Hargin (SWE) was the quickest in freeskiing and got 1st place, beating Janina Kuzma (NZL) and Pia Widmesser (GER). 


Also Erik Sunnerheim (SWE) had a great appearance in skiing, beating Seb Michaud (FRA) and Thomas Leitner (GER). 


This competition was very important for the ladie, because the results were graded as first run in Women’s Freeride World Tour 2011 gewertet. Altough the snow conditions weren't perfect, 107 Riders from 14 nations started into this great event.

The boys collected points for the Freeride World Tour qualification.

The austrian snowboarders showed us a great performance on the 500m contest, with wide rock faces and wide snow fields.

Four of the six podium places went to Austria!
