| The
Freeride World Qualifier Tour The Freeride World Tour is the most important freeride tour in the world. The starters at this event are the world’s best freerider. Allowed are only 16 male and eigth female Freeski riders and nine male and five female freeride- snowboarders. It is only possible to qualify through the Freeride World Qualifier Tour. There the best three ski riders and the two best snowboarders of the ranking will be chosen for a start at the FWT. The FWQ tour events are categorized from 1- Star to 4- stars events. The higher the category the higher the points for the ranking. The first time Kitzsteinhorn, Kaprun will be arena of a Freeride World Qualifiers***. At the Big Mountain Contest, 23.- 24.03.2012, national and international top- riders will compete to win the price money as well as important points for the Freeride World Tour Ranking. Everybody who has not had a ranking in the FWT could get some points at the qualify for the X OVER RIDE last Saturday. The theater for the audience has the best view on the competition area and was built especilly for this event in Kitzsteinhorn. Up there you can see this freeride action very close and thus enjoy it even more! 700 meters high, a lot of jumps, only a few minutes. The main event takes place at the hillside of Lackarschneid (2.952m). There the riders have to defeat a lot of technical passages and spectacular jumps in a few minutes and with 700 meter high differential. Finish is the freeride action at the Langwiedboden (1.970 m high). |

| Results
of the qualify for X OVER RIDE, Kitzsteinhorn 19.03.2012: Winner of the ski freeriders became the Italian Zeno Cecon followed by two Austrian. In the discipline snowboard all three tickets went to Austrian riders leaded by Frank Woerndl. In the women categorie Ann Buhl Bersang (DNK) convinced with her ride and the Australian Amber Schuecker won in the snowboard categorie. Here are more informtion about the X OVER RIDE! |
