Roxy Brand Profile
When Quiksilver decided to launch a women's line in 1990, it was a gutsy move. The surf market has always been a fickle one. And female surfers, despite their achievements in and out of the water, hadn't drummed up nearly the notoriety nor the community that guys had long enjoyed. But great ideas always take a bit of courage. And Roxy saw a huge chance in the untouched women's surf market. Turns out they were right.
Like all things Quiksilver, Roxy was born in the water and started with a swimwear line, featuring
Roxy Bikinis and
Roxy Wetsuits + Lycras.
which were an immediate success. In 1992, the company moved on to the next level by introducing the
Roxy Streetwear
range. One day, on the beaches of Hawaii, the Roxy team came up with an idea for the
Roxy Boardshorts Women
which fit well and allowed flexibility while still looking feminine. As Roxy's popularity grew, so did their product range.
Roxy Accessories and
Roxy Eyewear
joined the mix in 1995. The
Roxy Shoes Women und
Roxy Watches
came a year later, upon which they were nominated for the ''California Rising Star Award'' for design, innovation and excellence. In 1997, they received the award again, and they still did not fail to impress with their new
Roxy Snowwear
line. The Millenium brought an exiting and versatile evolution of Roxy, with a completely new
Roxy Snowboards
line in cooperation with Mervin Manufacturing.
Daring, confident, naturally beautiful, fun, alive: Roxy!
