New Era Brand Profile

Erhardt Koch, the founder of the New Era Cap Company, moved as a child from Germany to the USA, where his family settled down in New York. Erhardt started his first job at the Miller Brother's Cap Company, where he later became director of the tailoring department. However, he struggled to get a further promotion, so he decided to launch his own business.

That was the beginning of the New Era Cap Company in 1920, which has been firmly established in the textile market ever since. In the past eight decades, New Era have been producing elite quality headwear and are the only licensed headwear brand that is recognized by name. In 1954, New Era created a piece of headwear that was predestined to stand out from all others for the next 50 years and beyond: the New Era 59Fifty Caps. But the New Era Accessories involve more than just the Caps and New Era Beanies, there are also stylish New Era Belts. For more New Era styles there are New Era T-Shirts and a nice selection of New Era Streetwear to choose from.
