Description of the Affiliate Program

An affiliate program is something like an additional sales channel. How does it work? The partner integrates a specific banner / text link / ... to that is linked to our online shop on their home page. When a customer clicks on the banner, it is tracked by cookies. This tracking ensures that purchases by this customer can be precisely mapped at the Blue Tomato online shop. After the successful completion of the customer’s order (no cancellation/ recall / complaint), the affiliate partner will be paid a commission.

For example:
The owner of a snowboard website puts a special banner on his website. One of his viewers clicks on this banner and then orders a snowboard at the Blue Tomato online shop. If the customer has paid the order and the snowboard has not been returned by end of the right to return period, then the affiliate partner will be paid commission.

The program in detail

The affiliate partnership is a kind of advertising partnership. As a partner you have the opportunity to use different kinds of advertising materials like banners, text ads or video banners for your website. Each click will be tracked automatically and for each sale your visitors generate, you get a commission of 7% of the net purchase value! Please consider, that we only pay the commission for confirmed sales - Cancellations will not be compensated!

Step 2:
Choose one of our affiliate networks and sign up there. These networks hardly differ from each other - the advertising materials are identical everywhere and the commission does not vary! If you have any questions about the networks, feel free to ask!

After your application, we will examine your data and unlock your account within 1-3 days. Following this, you will get free access to our advertising material.

Step 4:
Now you are able to choose different banners/textlinks/… for your website. For each sale your visitor generates, you get a commission.

What is an affiliate partnership?
An affiliate partnership is a kind of advertising partnership. You gain access to different kinds of ad materials with different designs and sizes (banners, text links, video flash banners, etc.). Every click on the ad which you had integrated into your homepage will be automatically tracked. For every sale through this click you get a commission of 7% from the net value of the order.

What happens if a customer buys a few days later?
If a customer buys something in our online shop a few days later you get as well your commission of 7%. The cookies which are set last 30 days.

How much is the commission?
We are working with the “pay per sale” remuneration model. You get 7% commission of the net value of every order. Please note: only for valid orders you will get a commission. You will not get a commission for deleted orders! During special promotions you can get up to 9% commission! For top publishers (stated in our affiliate guidelines) a higher commission is possible.

How do I get my commission?
Your commission will be paid automatically to your account after the processing time (depends on the network – 42 to 60 days).

What are your duties?
You don’t have any duties and the participation is for free.
In general:
We stay away from any violent, racist, right-wing extremist, pornographic or harmful content.

SEM for your own website is allowed. However, it is not allowed to book the keyword 'Blue Tomato "or other (wrong) spellings. Furthermore the brand name may not appear in the Display-URL, in the ad title and in the ad text. A direct link to the website of Blue Tomato is also prohibited.

How can I use effectively the ad material?
All advertising material you find in the ad pool of your affiliate network. In general you only have to integrate the ads once in your website. We will automatically update them. If you need a special ad material don’t hesitate to contact us: affiliate@blue-tomato.com!
