O'Neill & Blue Tomato Girls Freeride Coaching
O'Neill Girls Freeride Coachings presented by K2 & Blue Tomato
Are you an adventurous female rider looking to discover unexplored off-piste terrain? An ambitious freeride enthusiast who wants to carve her own lines in virgin powder? A snowboard or freeski chick who just wants to safely explore the backcountry? Then check it out: This winter, in association with K2 and Blue Tomato, O’Neill are putting on three GIRLS FREERIDE COACHING SESSIONS, where, according to their ability, snow-loving ladies can sample the best of the backcountry.
Alongside the O’Neill, K2 and Blue Tomato Pro riders, participants will learn avalanche awareness, risk management and pick up back country riding tips as well as learning how to read avalanche risk reports, evaluate weather reports and learn how to keep their bearings in the backcountry. Certified mountain guides will accompany the girls on the two camp days in the backcountry and introduce the girls to the joys of freeriding. All of the camps assume a capable and safe standard of snowboarding or skiing and a good on-piste riding technique.
Participants will receive free test material from K2 and BCA (skis, snowboards and avalanche equipment) for use during the course. The cost of the course will be 249 euros.
